Componentry for Industry

Carac Group was established in 1988 by inventor John Burling to commercialise his unique and innovative range of patented trailer couplings. This quality range has increased over the years to cover componentry for multiple industries and many of New Zealand’s leading manufacturers use Carac Group components daily to complete their products.

In 2000 Carac began modernising its manufacturing plant and today, Carac Group is home to leading edge laser cutting, a high precision water jet cutter with 5 axis and rotary cutting, a high-definition CNC Plasma with gas cutting, CNC Press brakes, CNC Lathes, CNC Mill, many fully automatic robot welders, mechanical and hydraulic power metal presses from 1 ton to 500+, auto drilling and tapping machines, fully automatic band saws, pipe and solid rod/bar bending machines, RHS, pipe rolling, powder coating and zinc plating. All of which are done in-house.

This has enabled Carac Group to grow our client base and the team now produce components for the automotive, agricultural, marine, engineering and utility industries both within New Zealand, and around the world. John Burling has continued to bring his unique and innovative inventions and this has lead to many Carac Group products that are on the market today, including Carac Group's flagship product TrackGrip.

Over the last 30+ years, and during it's growth, Carac Group has remained a 100% family owned and operated business with products that are both New Zealand designed and made.

Carac Group can accommodate individual client requirements and we won’t be beaten on quality. We employ a team of highly skilled and energetic employees and over the years both John and Carac have received a number of business and innovation awards in recognition of their contribution to business and industry. With a growing team Carac Group has been pushing the boundaries of what is possible in engineering and has been delivering better solutions to the marketplace since 1988.
